Title : Coalface Natural Facial Cleanser by LUSH

Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Great for oily faces
My husband has very oily skin and this soap is great for him. It doesn't dry his skin out and leaves his face clean and mosturized. He also says, "It doesn't smell girly." It can be messy and leave black bits in the sink, so rinse well and don't use white towels with it. It is a bit expensive but lasts a very long time. My skin is combination, and I find the dry spots don't do well wtih this soap, but it really helps with the oily bits. I use it when I run out of other products, but it isn't my favorite for me.

Title : Honey Bee Bath Bomb by LUSH

Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Not Enough Scent...
I've been a fan of LUSH for several years and love their products, but I wasn't very impressed by this bomb. The water was an unattractive shade of yellow (another reviewer's example of 'urine yellow' was pretty accurate and once I got that image in my mind, it definitely detracted from my enjoyment of the bath!) and it was just faintly scented. I gave it 3 stars because it DID make my skin soft and it was faintly scented as well, I was just hoping for a little more...

Title : Godiva Shampoo Bar by LUSH

Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Has its Ups and Downs
There are several things I love about this product and several things I dislike. I'll preface this by saying that Lush's marketing is ingenious. It seems everyone who makes it to their store or web site really wants to love their products. I also have really tried my hardest to become a Lush devotee but it just isn't working out for me.

Here's what I liked about Godiva:
1) The smell. It's absolutely divine. You must be a big fan of jasmine, though, and I can see how it would be too much for some people. I personally loved it.

2) It left my hair in great condition. I don't think my hair has ever been this healthy. However, this isn't the only thing I've been doing differently in my hair routine so whether or not Godiva is responsible for my new-found beautiful locks remains to be told.

Now the things I didn't like:
1) The size. The bar is tiny. Which leads to me next point...

2) The price. For such a small product the price is unbelievable. I know some other reviewers have said that Lush's shampoo bars last for months, but I disagree with them. Perhaps if you wash your hair 3 or 4 times per month that would be the case but for the average woman these will not last more than 6 or 7 weeks. Which leads me to the next point...

3) The bars would last much longer if they lathered better. I read on some reviews that they only needed 3 swipes to get enough lather for their whole head. I had to work the bar in my hands and then rub it over my head a good 10-15 times to get a decent (not great) lather. This is part of the reason the bars don't last very long. I do have quite long, thick, curly hair, but I don't lather my whole head, just the scalp. So I was quite disappointed with the lathering action of this product.

Overall, I'm slowly starting to lose steam for Lush's products but I am still a slave to their marketing ploys. I'm sure I'll end up buying this product again just because it smells so good, but I'll have a good bit of buyer's remorse afterward because of the expense.

Title : StriVectin-SD Intensive Repair, 6-Ounce Tube

Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : User for over a year; no miracles, but good cream
I've used Strivectin for over a year. I held out a faint hope for miracles, but no such luck. (Those fine lines are still there.) Still, it's a very rich cream at a very good price. (When you consider how much you get, it's substantially cheaper than most anti-wrinkle creams you buy at department stores.) A little goes a long way. It does smell minty; I'm thinking people must have gotten an old/bad tube if it smelled "rancid." I can see, however, how the aromatic oils might be a bit strong for some people to put around their eyes. I gather that's why they came up with the eye cream that's milder. (I haven't tried it.)

Title : Retread Hair Conditioner by LUSH

Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Retread- Miracle or Madness?
Earlier on I had read all the reviews for Retread. Paying 20 bucks for a conditioner did not quite suit me. However, I have been using it for a month now and I have to say that the reviews were an inadequate discription of the product. Personally, I believe this to be an amazing product. I used it in combination with Big and I believe my hair has never looked better. Retread is a superb conditioner and really does wonders. I have virgin hair, but I do blow dry it ever day so I felt a heavier conditioner was necessary. Since this is a deeper conditioner I would leave it in for 5-10 min or while you do all your other stuff in the shower/bath. My hair was softer than ever afterwards (that could be from Big though) and shined like the sun. This is not an everyday conditioner but works well for once or twice a week (I mainly use it for special occasions, or when I just want to feel pretty!) I highly recommend it and I feel that it works much better than Lush's conditioning treatments. The only issue was the smell. I am not much into the smell of cucumbers and to me that is what it smelled like. However, this could just be a personal attribute as no one else has mentioned this. The product was still amazing though, and I am willing to endure the smell(It fades as the day goes on). My decision about this product is Miracle! Hope this helps!

Title : Big Natural Shampoo by LUSH

Rating : 3 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Big is a Sometimes Shampoo
Big was my first foray into LUSH hair products after hearing several of my fellow addicts rave about it. It doesn't really lather that much, but it does get your hair super clean with maybe a fingerful used. I didn't notice any change as far as volume goes--I have pretty thick hair anyway--but when I let it dry naturally and didn't use conditioner it was a little smoother than normal (my hair frizzes if you look at it the wrong way). I use Big mainly as a clarifying shampoo, and it does the trick.

Title : Creamy Candy Bath BUBBLE BAR slice by LUSH

Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Pretty in Pink Bubble Baths
If you love baths, but simply must have bubbles, then the bubble bars can be a lovely addition to a salt soak. You can also add one of these or half of a bubble bar along with one of the bath bombs. I keep buying the bath bombs and giving them away as gifts, which is an excuse to buy more lush products!

I've tried numerous bubble bath products and these seem to produce an especially fun amount of bubbles. You can literally hide below the bubbles, there are so many. You also get the added benefit of more essential oils. With Lush products, you may have to get a journal just for bath bliss experiences. There are certain products you can blend together to create moods and moments.

Title : Retread Hair Conditioner by LUSH

Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Look at all this SHINE!!!
I just bought Retread Hair Conditioner today from my local LUSH store and tried it tonight. My hair was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G after I used it. After I've read all the reviews about the product, I was still a little skepticle, as I've tried many things that had awesome reviews, but just didn't work with my thick coarse hair.

I shampooed my hair, put in Retread Hair Conditioner, covered my hair with a plastic cap and set a hot towel over it for an hour (dunking the towel in hot water every 15 minutes to 'reheat' it). Rinsed out the conditioner and didn't use anything else on my hair (I usually have to put in anti-frizz serum).

The first thing I noticed was the shine... what a HUGE difference. Even my boyfriend said there was something different, but he couldn't quite figure it out. Retread Hair Conditioner left my hair super soft too. And you don't even need to use that much.

Now for the bad....

the smell (that's why it's not 5 stars)! I know some people say they love it and some people say they hate it, and I really think that's the way it is... you either hate it or love it. I actully hated it. My boyfriend took one whiff (and thought it smelled like old soggy towels) and offered to drive me back to LUSH to return it because he thought it was 'old'. Another reviewer said it smelled like 'barnyard' and I think that's the best way to describe it. You do get used to it (and luckly the smell fades as your hair dries), but for me, the smell was too much.

I will buy again because I absolutely love the results, but I will only use Retread Hair Conditioner when I know I will be home the next day to spare others from the smell.

And to think, I've wasted soooooo much money on other products that didn't work!!!
