Summary : Has its Ups and Downs

There are several things I love about this product and several things I dislike. I'll preface this by saying that Lush's marketing is ingenious. It seems everyone who makes it to their store or web site really wants to love their products. I also have really tried my hardest to become a Lush devotee but it just isn't working out for me.

Here's what I liked about Godiva:
1) The smell. It's absolutely divine. You must be a big fan of jasmine, though, and I can see how it would be too much for some people. I personally loved it.

2) It left my hair in great condition. I don't think my hair has ever been this healthy. However, this isn't the only thing I've been doing differently in my hair routine so whether or not Godiva is responsible for my new-found beautiful locks remains to be told.

Now the things I didn't like:
1) The size. The bar is tiny. Which leads to me next point...

2) The price. For such a small product the price is unbelievable. I know some other reviewers have said that Lush's shampoo bars last for months, but I disagree with them. Perhaps if you wash your hair 3 or 4 times per month that would be the case but for the average woman these will not last more than 6 or 7 weeks. Which leads me to the next point...

3) The bars would last much longer if they lathered better. I read on some reviews that they only needed 3 swipes to get enough lather for their whole head. I had to work the bar in my hands and then rub it over my head a good 10-15 times to get a decent (not great) lather. This is part of the reason the bars don't last very long. I do have quite long, thick, curly hair, but I don't lather my whole head, just the scalp. So I was quite disappointed with the lathering action of this product.

Overall, I'm slowly starting to lose steam for Lush's products but I am still a slave to their marketing ploys. I'm sure I'll end up buying this product again just because it smells so good, but I'll have a good bit of buyer's remorse afterward because of the expense.

The "Creamy Candy Bath Melt" is what turned me on to LUSH in the first place. In addition to vanilla, I absolutely adore sweet candy-type fragrances and this is no exception. The melt moisturizes your skin without leaving it feeling greasy and the smell is yummilicious! I try to order multiples of these at a time so that they are always on hand since I never know when the mood to use one will strike me (I'd use them just about all of the time if I could).

If you like super sweet and girlie, then go for it and try Creamy Candy! :D

Summary : It's the best!

I get complimented by dates for having soft skin and this is the secret. I combine it w/ Nivea Q10 lotion, which is non-greasy and the combination leaves my skin ultra-soft.

A tip in using this is to cut it up into little squares before you use it. Each little square will be 1-2 uses. If you get the biggest size, you should cut it into slabs first, then make squares out of those. It's expensive, but it'll last for quite a while if you do this.

An extensive palette of colors from sheer, opaque, shimmery and glitter. This polish applies very smoothly, for most colors, two coats is enough. With care this polish can last up to two weeks without chipping (minus gaps on the bottom due to growth) some of my favorites include Fiji, a very pretty pale pink, Ballet Slippers a lovely cream color, Lady Godiva, the perfect deep chocolate brown thats been so *IN* for the last couple of seasons, Watermelon, a strawberry-coral color that i LOVE for summer and A-List, the most gorgeous dark red apple/cherry color. even though they are different hues they all apply fantastically, no streaks lumps or bubbles and they do not stain your nail (if-god forbid-you dont put on a clear base coat first). the other thing is these colors are great for all skin tones, my skin is considered peach/creme in the winter and goes towards tanned/olive in the summer so some colors can look ridiculous on me during certain times of the year but essie has a huge variety of shades that are just slighly different from one another so you are sure to find the color you wanted that will also complement your skintone.

Normally I have terrible huge bags under my eyes and they are always accentuated by nice dark circles too! This pen was like a godsend! It helped to minimize the darkness and the appearance of circles almost instantly. It's easy to apply and blends quickly. It's not a rich shimmer, it just does an excellent job of reflecting. This is a must-have for anyone who has the same type of under-eye bags and darkness that is often attributed to lighter skinned people. This is a huge helper and worth the $30 investment.

Summary : Favorite bath gel for the choco-holic

This bath gel smells like chocolate-dipped orange peels and feels great. Nicer than soap in the shower and a real treat. You can even use it as shampoo, but I find that it dries the hair too much for me to do that too often.

This makes a really nice gift along with a box of chocolates and a bath loofa or brush. And a massage bar.

I love the scent of this bubble bar! Due to having extremely hard water, I've had some pretty hit-or-miss experiences with Lush products; some things I can barely smell at all, while others take on a tinny scent. But this one is wonderful; I can't say enough good about it. I only use a third of the bar for a bath; if you use the whole bar, it will be overpowering!

The scent lasts a long time and everyone seems to like it...it isn't flowery or sweet...it's kind of hard to explain. I keep three or four bars in a bowl in the bathroom, and without fail every single person that uses that bathroom asks me what the wonderfull scent is!

I usually use Lush's Irrisistible Bliss. I bought Karma Komba one day because by the description I thought it would be good for my hair. I used it once and I smelled like a stoner for 3 days! I could not get rid of the patchouli smell. So I moved it into the garage sealed in 2 ziploc bags and my garage still smelled like Patchouli. I only suggest this shampoo if you LOVE Patchouli or are trying to cover up a more nasty or illegal smell.

Summary : Relaxing Vacation!

I'm a bath girl. I'll admit it, right now, to all of you, I am addicted to baths. I am also addicted to bath stuff. Anything related to a bath, you will find that I've either tried it or own it. To me, heaven is a bathtub with some sort of goodness in the water. Just.Love.It.

A friend sent me some Lush goodies a year ago so when I went to visit her in Boston I all but drug her down to Lush to get a fresh supply. As soon as I got home, in went Big Blue and I started my vacation - again. There is nothing better - besides the tub - than sitting on the beach, sun warming your skin and feet dipped in the ocean. This bath bomb brings it all back, including the seaweed to go between your toes! The smell, the feel, even the color is nothing but the Big Blue. Added perk of Big Blue was that the seaweed clogged the overflow valve so I got to immerse myself even deeper into the waters!

I highly reccomend their "Ocean Salt" scrub to complement big blue!

Summary : Effective soap for oily skin and preventing breakouts

Fresh Farmacy is a pretty drying soap to me, and I have extremely oily skin. So, I am careful to use this only about once a day; otherwise, the skin immediately around my mouth will get so tight and dry that it burns and cracks. I also try not to use this to wash my eye area. I use a makeup remover before washing with Fresh Farmacy because it does not seem like it would completely wash off foundation, etc. on its own. I like that this soap is noticeably effective for preventing breakouts. In other words, I truly feel that this product helps my acne instead of making it worse or simply doing nothing. I also like how Fresh Farmacy temporarily (for several hours) tightens my large pores as well as slowing and slightly lessening the oily sheen I typically get a few hours, after I wash my face. On the other hand, this is a very messy soap and it does not lather easily at all. Worst of all: sometimes if I do not follow-up with a toner, I am left with a pale pink calamine film on my face (even if I rinse really, really thoroughly). That can be particularly bad looking on my dark complexion. For those reasons, I prefer the Coalface Soap also made by LUSH to this one as it works just as well with fewer steps and does not seem quite as stripping.

I travel a lot, and yes I only take one carry-on bag, with the new restrictions I tried this shampoo, I have a LOT of Hair, it's colored and is veeeerrrryyy choosy about shampoos, so is my scalp (overly sensitive and does itch if I use the wrong product) ..... so I always travel with my own bottle never trusting the hotels tiny punny bottle,

I was a little skeptical since it's not really that big (smaller than a regular bar of soap) I have been using it a week, my hair is manageble, no tangles, and oh so shinny , soft and NO itchy scalp !!! I wet my hair wet the bar and 4 nice big circles over my shoulder lenght hair and taddaaa suds, and yes I agree the smell is a little overpowering but hey, I can't take my perfume with me, the soft aroma that lingers in my hair will have to do...

This has to be the most invigorating facial/skin product I have ever purchased. It's gentle enough to use on your face and will leave it polished and smooth (note: use only once a week if you have dry skin!). If you've had a long day at work, or have been at the mall X-mas shopping all day, grab the ocean salt scrub. Rub it all over your feet for an instant foot massage and don't forget to rub your hands, as well! You will soon decide this is another Lush product you cannot live without...
