Summary : Pleasantly surprised

I purchased this Lush conditioner against all the mixed reviews, and I have to say I am very pleased with the results.

I didn't really have any of the problems others voiced with this product. I have very thick hair that has a bit of a wave to it. When it arrived it had a musky smell, underlayed with Lush's kind of signature playdo undersmell. In the shower though it smells exotic and heavenly. I kind of swoosh the bar down my hair a few times- DO NOT TRY rubbing it into your hair like you normally would. It will get tangled. I just stroke it straight down and focus on the ends. A few small chunks usually come off in my hands and I use the excess to finish conditioning my hair. I leave it in for a few minutes while I shave and then rinse it off with hot water. It will not feel slick and goopy like liquid conditioner and you may notice if you're used to a really vigorous rinsing that you may feel a little more tangled than normal. This dissapeared totally once I was out of the shower.

I have noticed my hair is a lot lighter than normal, and the smell is just wonderful.

Overall my experience has been wonderful and I enjoy this so much more than liquid shampoos; I never feel like I've completely rinsed it all off and my hair often feels heavy and gets greasy faster.

I would NOT reccomend this if you have very tangly hair to begin with.

Please remember that this is not your normal liquid conditioner, thus it will not work like your normal liquid conditioner. The results are well worth the difference though and it's my new favorite conditioner.

Summary : Open Eyes

I had previously used a similiar product from Yse Saint Laurent that's been around for a while and although that was good at highlighting Laura Mercier's has a more natural pinky tone and can be used directly on dark circles under the eyes and also above the cheek bone to deflect light. Although you have to apply it with a light hand under the eye or it can have the opposite effect and draw too much attention to the area. It imparts a very natural youthful look. It also opens up the eye and adds a pearly dewiness. It takes off a few years which is great for a not so young woman but is also nice on those who still have the bloom of youth as it will make the eyes pop out and give off a little gleam. It's not an artificial shimmmer but a radiance that flatters in every light. I use it with Laura Mercier's concealer . I put the brightener mosltly around the eyes starting at the top of the cheek bone and ending at the temples.

Summary : Perfect Nails

When they created the Essie nail polishes they sure did their research. Each coat goes on perfectly (no clumping/uneven drying/drying too fast/drying too slow) and there are four main steps for perfect nails.

The polish goes on like a dream if you first start with the Essie Millionails, a creamy nail strengthener that can be used as a base or top coat. I also top this with the Essie protein base coat, for more nail fortifying as it contains hydrated silica and collagen. The "Curve Ball" color is an especially luminous pink with a delicate shimmery finish. I can't wait to try additional colors!

One coat is enough if you are in a hurry and your nails will dry super fast with the "To Dry For" polish-drying top coat.

To enhance your manicure/pedicure, also look for Gena's Pedi Care with Peppermint Oil. If you are doing the entire "taking a bath and pampering yourself" before you do your nails routine, then look for LUSH Golden Slumbers bath ballistic or any of the bath ballistics as they make your bathing experience a true pleasure and are very relaxing.

Title : Angels on Bare Skin Facial Cleanser by LUSH

Summary : Great for more than the face!

This facial cleanser has a interesting smell and an even more interesting texture - a somewhat rough texture.

I tried it right away on my face, which was a bit blemished, and right away I felt it react to my broken out skin. It actually smoothed my skin out, and now only 12 hours later my face is almost cleared up!!!

I also tried the cleanser on my rough knees, and they are now smooth and soft.

This product is very messy to use, but it's powerful abilities to clear my face and soften all the rough spots forces me to give it 5 stars!

Summary : Look at all this SHINE!!!

I just bought Retread Hair Conditioner today from my local LUSH store and tried it tonight. My hair was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G after I used it. After I've read all the reviews about the product, I was still a little skepticle, as I've tried many things that had awesome reviews, but just didn't work with my thick coarse hair.

I shampooed my hair, put in Retread Hair Conditioner, covered my hair with a plastic cap and set a hot towel over it for an hour (dunking the towel in hot water every 15 minutes to 'reheat' it). Rinsed out the conditioner and didn't use anything else on my hair (I usually have to put in anti-frizz serum).

The first thing I noticed was the shine... what a HUGE difference. Even my boyfriend said there was something different, but he couldn't quite figure it out. Retread Hair Conditioner left my hair super soft too. And you don't even need to use that much.

Now for the bad....

the smell (that's why it's not 5 stars)! I know some people say they love it and some people say they hate it, and I really think that's the way it is... you either hate it or love it. I actully hated it. My boyfriend took one whiff (and thought it smelled like old soggy towels) and offered to drive me back to LUSH to return it because he thought it was 'old'. Another reviewer said it smelled like 'barnyard' and I think that's the best way to describe it. You do get used to it (and luckly the smell fades as your hair dries), but for me, the smell was too much.

I will buy again because I absolutely love the results, but I will only use Retread Hair Conditioner when I know I will be home the next day to spare others from the smell.

I absolutely Love the NEW bar. My hair is normally oily, and now, even at the end of the day, I have great looking hair. The smell is delicious, and the lathering is unreal. I am a LUSH fan from now on!

Summary : Doesn't work on its own.

I use this product under my eyes to lessen the dark circles. However, by itself, I don't see a difference. I still have to use the secret concealer for any type of coverage/lightening of the eye area. Also, the packaging for this product is very bad. It's hard to get the right amount needed and I end up wasting quite a bit.

Summary : Smells really nice but isn't effective enough for insomniacs - use with Dreamtime!

This bomb is pretty nice, it smells of lavender with a little woodsy and herbal kick to it, but it is a small bomb and not as strongly scented/ powerful in its aromatherapy uses as it could be.

There is a new bomb coming out soon (I got to test it as a Lush forum prize!) called Golden Slumbers that the owner of Lush has been testing out and will be in the US soon, which is almost straight lavender and knocks my socks off! It is a large bomb with golden shimmers in it, and the power/strength of scent of this bomb is incredible. Waving Not Drowning was relaxing but didn't make me sleepy, while Golden Slumbers knocked me *out*.

So keep an eye out for Waving Not Drowning's big brother, and in the meantime, try using two if you are an insomniac and need more "kick" than this one provides. Dreamtime melt is also very soothing, and sometimes I cocktail my Lush by using half Dreamtime and half Waving.

Summary : As a careful consumer....

...I investigate most everything I purchase online. I had been seeing ads for mineral foundations for awhile, and was always intrigued. I have tried most every product in the world; those of us with sensitive skin tend to do this. Basically everything sans oxygen makes my skin break out, so I have to be extremely careful with what I buy. I had been using a cream to powder foundation for years which was great, but a little heavy. Being a stage performer, I have to wear heavy make-up for my gigs, so I prefer something lighter for my everyday life. I can tell you that this foundation is as light as air with great coverage.

After receiving an Amazon gift certificate for Christmas, I thought this was the perfect time to try this foundation. Also, Youngblood was the only mineral foundation retailer at the time selling on Amazon. After reading the good reviews, I went for it.

My foundation arrived in the mail a few days after Christmas, and now being the end of July, I still have A LOT left in the container. This information is helpful when you receive your tiny little container in the mail.

Having a good brush is the most critical element, as well as having a good moisturizer. There is a little bit of a learning curve so give it a couple of days of practice. Youngblood will send you an information sheet this I found very helpful.

I have slightly larger pores around my nose, so my tip for this is to apply the make up then take your finger and lightly rub it in, then take your brush and lightly go back over the area; this virtually makes those pores disappear. I also use my finger when covering blemishes, which I have to say I don't get many of. Those who have a bit more acne may feel different about this. I also use a good under eye concealer for my dark circles. I'm sure Youngblood works well for this; I have just never tried it.

For some mineral products, they claim to basically be miracle workers, making you look ten years younger, some also say that they cover up large facial blemishes. I'm not sure if this is a miracle product, and I tend to be suspicious of products that make such promises. There will never be a substitute for a good skin care regiment and moisturizer with SPF. I can tell you for sure that I get a lot of great comments about my skin, my skin glows, and most importantly I feel like I look great. I highly recommend this product.

I combined 1/3 of this bubble bar with an avobath ballistic - heaven in a bathtub! I had a bit of a time crumbling it under the running water, and actually wound up making more of a paste and letting the water rinse it off into bubbles. About halfway through my soak, I added the avobath and the combination was just divine! I do agree, though, with previous posters - the smell is very strong, and even in my giant bathtub I wondered if 1/3 of the bar was too much. I'm happy that I've got more baths with this to look forward to!

I am completely in LOVE with this bubble bar!
This was the first LUSH item I have ever used. I was put off initially because patchouli was one of the scents in it, I am not a fan of that tree hugging hippy stink. WOW, was I wrong!
Taking a bath with Karma Bubble Bar is seriously heaven on earth. It has tons and tons of bubbles and it lasted throughout the whole bath. Not only will *you* smell absolutely delicious, your house will too. I can't recommend this enough.
Go get it, NOW!!

Summary : Best Makeup I've ever used

This goes on beautifully with the "ultimate foundation" brush also by Youngblood Cosmetics. This is the only make-up that actually covers great, looks natural AND doesn't cause breakouts. I use the warm beige foundation, the medium loose powder and the adobe blush. I have been extremely pleased.

This is the first foundation I have ever truly loved! The first time I purchased this oil-free foundation it was hard to trust the rave reviews. Most foundations leave your face feeling oily and unclean, but not this one!

If I could give you one piece of advice about this particular foundation, it would be to purchase the setting powder along with it. The two go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly. You just can't have one without the other. The foundation is amazing, providing flawless coverage, however I would be a liar if I told you that you will never experience "Makeup-Meltdown" with the foundation alone. That's where the setting powder comes in. Top off your look by sprinkling a bit of the setting powder onto a velour puff and give your foundation a velvet finish. With these two items, you'll leave your house feeling like a star!!

Summary : Nice Garden!

This bath bomb was wonderful! The flowery smell was subtle yet intoxicating. Very relaxing. This would be a great bath before bed too. The smell lasted a long time on my skin afterwards. Recommend tying up in a nylon. Bits of flowers could clog up your drain a bit. Will be purchasing this one again for sure!

Summary : Been There, Done That! Long Delivery No Scent

I've tried a few of these after reading so much about them. What a disappointment! Yes, they fizz-- but that's about it. All of mine were faintly scented, but they smelled more like a science project gone awry. Y*U*C*K. Anyway, I like the ones from Haute Tub *much* better. Their buttercream frosting, candy cane crunch and pumpkin pie smell delicious. Just thought I'd share.
